Kerry's Background

Kerry McNaughton is an experienced educator with a Master of Arts in Education from Stanford University and a Bachelor's degree in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley. She's dedicated the past 15 years to helping students excel in their educational journeys.With credentials in Science and Mathematics, National Board Certification, and specialized training in AVID, Constructing Meaning, Ambitious Science Teaching, and Design Thinking, Kerry brings exceptional expertise to her work with students. She is currently completing her Professional Program in College Admissions Consulting at UC Berkeley. Kerry brings exceptional expertise to academic coaching and college planning. Kerry has consistently helped students achieve their full potential.

How SHINE Pathways Started

After years of classroom teaching and witnessing firsthand the challenges students face when navigating their educational paths, Kerry recognized that many students need personalized guidance that goes beyond what traditional school settings can provide. She founded SHINE Pathways to offer tailored academic coaching and college planning services that help students identify their strengths, overcome challenges, and achieve their full potential. The name SHINE reflects her philosophy that every student has unique strengths that, with proper guidance, can truly shine.
